IS THE EVENT FREE?

Yes! And you get full access to DreamHack Winter 2016, an event pass for all event days! All you need to do in order to apply is described below!

WHERE DO I PICK UP MY TICKET?

If your team is accepted, you’ll pick up your bracelets at lobby south in the guest entrance!

WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THERE

Have fun, be creative and meet the dudes & dudettes at Coffeestain studios! We are jaming VR!

WHAT TYPE OF TICKET DO I NEED IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE?

To participate in the Coffeestain DreamHackathon VR jam all you need be is confirmed attending via the Eventbrite event (done via the sign-up form below) . Please note the ticket to the jam admits you to the full DreamHack Winter experience, all days! There will of course be stuff like

  • Coffee/Tea
  • Drinks
  • Snacks
WHEN AND WHERE DOES THE EVENT TAKE PLACE

November the 25th 09.00 to the 26th at around 23.00! – You may arrive already Thursday and get your DH ticket and chill at the venue!
Check back for the final schedule but the jam will be hosted at DreamHack Winter 2016, 25th to the 26th of November (DreamHack Winter is ending the 27th, so you may travel home that day!). You find the jam by following the signs from Lobby south that will direct you toward Konferensrum 11! DreamHack takes place at the Elmia Convention center, Jönköping from Thursday, November 24 to Sunday, November 27, 2016. (Please note: The event ends by 08.00 the 27th, that’s when you need to be out of the venue!)

  3. Head to the event with or without friends (you’ll make tons of them, dont worry!)
  4. Profit
WHAT’S THE TEAM SIZE

At most 5 people, and we do allow at least duos (2-people) however due to the time limit it is recommended to team up!

SHOULD I WORK NON-STOP?

The venue will definitely tempt you to take a break and refresh your mind. Make sure to check out the conference room to get refreshments though! We will soon release how to get there.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY?

We refer to the rules regarding the use of others code or intellectual property. We will not own the things you create, so no transferring of any rights there. We do however want to be able to share it as work done at the event, for different purposes such as exposure.

CAN I PARTICIPATE AS GUEST?

We encourage media, community people and friends to send an email to Sebastian.Badylak (at) coffeestainstudios.com but the general rule is no due to the capacity limitations of the venue. To be able to enter the venue without hassle please apply through the application process.

CAN I BRING WORK I’VE ALREADY STARTED ON?

The simple answer is: Yes.

WHAT TO BRING?

The main thing to bring is:

  • your computer, and we recommend a Windows-based pc with these minimum spec’s and the charger + ethernet cable.
  • Sleeping gear – participants are allowed in the sleeping halls, these are rotational so place take your sleeping gear with you back to the jam after you’ve gotten a few hours of rest
  • Maybe you’d like some clothes to change?
  • We will provide some free food, snacks and drinks during the event.

We will inform you about anything additional you need to bring closer to the event.

CAN I LEAVE MY STUFF IN THE ROOM?

The room will be accessed only by game jammers and that’s around the clock. We recommend not leaving valuable belongings unattended, but help each other out!
